2018 Crown and Pumkin

Some newer pieces

I finished and fired these in haste for a show in Toronto with high expectations but I couldn’t get myself to stay till the end and packed up with two days remaining. Sales were to slow so I tore down and left. Shit happens. It’s been a hard haul and one I do not want to experience again. Here are some of the pots I brought with me and are still in the back of the pickup. A few are gone to new homes and helped me cover some costs. Thank you for your support. Now to put this one behind me and find the motivation to get back to it.

April cone 10 firings

That’s my limited poetry talent.

A potter’s nod is the uncontrollable spinning of the head some potter’s have at the wheel, be it severe or not. I have a minor case of it. There is no cure. It’s also the way people say hi without saying a word in my neck of the woods. I’ll be giving a throwing workshop on May 5th and 6th at Gladstone Clayworks in Ottawa. Come on out and I’ll share with you my techniques and approach at throwing large pots
